MHIDI has become not only one of the most productive interior design firms in the Southwest Louisiana area, but has been chosen by clients near and far, in Mississippi, Georgia, Texas, New Mexico and California. Ms. Hutchinson's clients benefit from a full range of interior design services, cultivated vendor relationships, and from her extensive experience and qualifications.

Ms. Hutchinson skillfully manages the designer-client relationship, from programming, the first step to determine the clients' needs, wishes and budget thru designing plans that meet building codes, with cost estimates, specifications of materials, furniture, lighting, flooring, wall coverings, artwork, and overseeing the project to the end.

Ms. Hutchinson's reputation and expertise as a Professional A.S.I.D. Member, and as a State Licensed Interior Designer, is invaluable in developing realistic project timelines when coordinating with other potential technical contractors and having plans approved by appropriate inspectors. A variety of architectural, mechanical, and electrical consultants are employed to insure the most current systems design and techniques.

Ms. Hutchinson, a graduate of Louisiana Tech, is a Professional Member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). She is licensed as an Interior Designer by the Board of Examiners of Interior Design in the State of Louisiana. A past Board Member of the Louisiana District American Society of Interior Designers, she sat for and successfully completed National Council for Interior Design Qualification exam (NCIDQ). She is also a founding patron of the National Symposium on Healthcare design and a Professional Affiliate of American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Myriam Hutchinson, ASID is a State Licensed Contractor, #49325, specializing in flooring, furnishing and fixtures installation, and furniture and institutional equipment by the State of Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors.

Ms. Hutchinson was awarded the Governor’s Pacesetter Award for Louisiana Minority Business Person of the Year, District 8. She has also been the recipient of the Silver Award by the American Society of Interior Designers for her design work on a medical facility, as well as several others for her outstanding work on various other residential projects.
